 | Marcus Garvey was the founder of the Black Nationalist movement, which spawned the Nation of Islam, the New Black Panthers, Black Liberation Theology and other Black Nationalist doctrines. Garvey referred to his movement as the first fascists because his movement was older than the Black Shirts of Benito Mussolini. Garvey also said that the black race needed their own Adolf Hitler. He did not exactly admire Fascism or Nazism, but thought that blacks should use the same techniques.
