San Jose State University professor and engaging Civil War expert, Dr. Laura Hilde, is presenting a monthly five-part series on the American Civil War. Â The series began October 12, 2011 and continues until February 8, 2012. Â The second lecture in the series, "Civil War Combat - Why Fight?" took place on Wednesday, November 16, 2011. Â This program series has been generously supported by the Friends of the Sunnyvale Public Library.
